Indications

Remagepan is a calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor antagonist, suitable for: acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults; preventive treatment of episodic migraine in adults.

Dosage

1. Recommended dose for acute treatment of migraine: 75 mg orally as needed.
2. The safety of using more than 18 doses in 30 days has not been established.
3. Recommended dose for prophylactic treatment of episodic migraine: 75 mg orally every other day.
4. The maximum dose within 24 hours is 75 mg.

Drug Contraindications

NURTEC ODT is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction to rimegepant, NURTEC ODT or any of its components.

Precautions

Hypersensitivity Reactions: If a serious hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue NURTEC ODT and initiate appropriate treatment. Severe hypersensitivity reactions, including difficulty breathing and rash, may occur several days after dosing.

Common Side Effects

Acute Treatment of Migraine: Nausea was an adverse reaction reported in ≥ 1% of patients treated with NURTEC ODT.

Preventive Treatment of Episodic Migraine: Adverse reactions reported by rimegepant ≥2% and ≥1% above placebo were nausea and abdominal pain/dyspepsia.
