Ixekizumab (Taltz) Dosage and Administration Guide

　　1.Dosage Forms and Strengths

　　Ixekizumab(brand name:Taltz)is available as a subcutaneous injection in prefilled syringes and autoinjectors.The standard strength is 150 mg/mL,with each prefilled syringe or autoinjector containing 150 mg of ixekizumab.

　　2.Dosage by Indication

　　Plaque Psoriasis

　　Induction phase:150 mg(1 injection)subcutaneously at Week 0(first dose)and Week 4.

　　Maintenance phase:150 mg(1 injection)subcutaneously every 12 weeks starting at Week 16.

　　Note:This product uses a fixed-dose regimen.No dosage adjustment is required for patients weighing more than 120 kg.

　　Psoriatic Arthritis

　　The dosage regimen for psoriatic arthritis is identical to that for plaque psoriasis:150 mg subcutaneously at Week 0 and Week 4,followed by 150 mg subcutaneously every 12 weeks for maintenance.

　　Crohn's Disease

　　Treatment for Crohn's disease requires an intravenous induction phase followed by subcutaneous maintenance:

　　Induction phase:600 mg ixekizumab administered intravenously at Week 0,Week 4 and Week 8.Each infusion takes approximately 30-60 minutes.

　　Maintenance phase:Starting at Week 16,180 mg or 360 mg subcutaneously every 8 or 12 weeks.The specific dose and dosing interval should be determined by the physician based on the patient's weight and treatment response.The commonly used clinical regimen is 180 mg every 8 weeks.

　　3.Injection Technique and Precautions

　　Subcutaneous injections may be administered in the abdomen,thigh or upper arm.Rotate injection sites with each dose to avoid injecting into the same area repeatedly.

　　Before injection,remove the prefilled syringe or autoinjector from the refrigerator and allow it to reach room temperature for approximately 30 minutes.Do not shake the product as this may cause bubbles that interfere with injection.

　　Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab and allow it to dry.Pinch the skin to form a fold,insert the needle at a 45-degree or 90-degree angle,and slowly push the plunger to inject the medication.After injection,remove the needle and do not massage the injection site.

　　4.Storage Conditions

　　Store this product in the refrigerator at 2-8°C,protected from light.Do not freeze.For travel,use an insulated cooler bag to keep the product at temperatures not exceeding 25°C,and return it to the refrigerator as soon as possible.

　　5.Missed Dose Management

　　If a dose is missed,administer it as soon as possible.If the missed dose is administered shortly after the scheduled time,continue with the original dosing interval for subsequent injections.If the dose is missed for an extended period(more than 8 weeks during maintenance),it may be necessary to restart the induction regimen.Always follow your healthcare provider's specific instructions for missed doses.

　　6.Treatment Duration Recommendations

　　Patients with psoriasis should receive continuous treatment for at least 1 year.If complete skin clearance(PASI 100)is achieved after treatment,dose reduction or extension of the dosing interval to 16 weeks may be considered under the guidance of a physician.Complete discontinuation of treatment is generally not recommended as it may lead to disease relapse.
