Use by special groups:
Not suitable for patients with complete intestinal obstruction.
Common side effects:
The most common adverse reactions were pruritus (63%) and fatigue (22%). Other common adverse reactions (>5%) observed in clinical trials were abdominal pain, malaise, rash, oropharyngeal pain, dizziness, constipation, arthralgia, thyroid dysfunction, and eczema.
Obetix indications:
Obeticholic acid combined with ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is indicated for adult patients with primary biliary cholangitis (formerly known as primary biliary cirrhosis, PBC) who have an inadequate response to UDCA, or as monotherapy for adults with primary biliary cholangitis who are intolerant to UDCA. 【Adverse reactions】
The most common adverse reactions (≥5%) are: skin itching, fatigue, abdominal pain and other discomforts, rash, oropharyngeal pain, dizziness, constipation, joint pain, thyroid dysfunction and eczema
【Contraindications】
Ocaliva is not suitable for patients with complete intestinal obstruction.
