(Alias: Febuxostat) is a tablet and an anti-gout drug. Febuxostat has a significant inhibitory effect on both oxidized and reduced XOR, so its effect of reducing uric acid is more powerful and lasting. The therapeutic effect of febuxostat in the treatment of gout:

To explore the clinical efficacy of febuxostat (alias: febuxostat) combined with loxoprofen sodium tablets in the treatment of gout associated with hyperuricemia.

A total of 72 patients with gout and hyperuricemia admitted to the hospital from January 2014 to January 2018 were selected and divided into an observation group (n=36) and a control group (n=36) based on the random number table method.  

The control group was treated with febuxostat, and the observation group was treated with febuxostat + loxoprofen sodium tablets. Both groups were treated continuously for 12 weeks. During this period, high-purine diets were strictly prohibited, and the daily water intake was >2000ml. The clinical efficacy, pain scores, blood uric acid levels and quality of life scores of the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was statistically compared between the two groups.   

Results The effective rate of the observation group was 77.78% (28/36), which was higher than the 55.56% (20/36) of the control group, P0.05). After treatment, the blood uric acid level and pain score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P0.05). After treatment, the quality of life scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P0.05).

Conclusion: Febuxostat (alias: febuxostat) combined with loxoprofen sodium tablets has significant efficacy in the treatment of gout associated with hyperuricemia. It can effectively relieve pain, reduce blood uric acid levels, help improve patients' quality of life, and is highly safe.                                                       

Patients are reminded that because it is a drug that inhibits uric acid production, it cannot completely cure the problem of abnormal purine metabolism in the human body.
