Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of loxoprofen sodium in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

Methods: 52 patients with active AS were selected and oral administration of loxoprofen sodium, 6 0 mg, tid was administered. Efficacy and safety evaluations were conducted at the end of week 0 and week 4 respectively.

Results: A total of 50 patients were evaluable, and 2 dropped out; after 4 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of loxoprofen sodium for AS patients was 92.42%, and all major efficacy indicators were significantly improved (P0.05). It is well tolerated, with an adverse reaction rate of only 8%, mainly mild to moderate gastrointestinal discomfort, and no serious or life-threatening adverse reactions.

Conclusion: Loxoprofen sodium can improve the pain and functional limitations of active AS through its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and has good safety.
