Can Rozebalamin (methylcobalamin) treat ALS?
Rozebalamin does have some therapeutic potential, especially in neurological diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALSIt is a fatal neurodegenerative disease that often leads to the progressive damage and death of motor neurons. Patients experience symptoms such as muscle weakness, atrophy, speech and swallowing difficulties. Although there is currently no cure for ALS, Rozebalamin has been approved to slow the progression of ALS through its neuroprotective and repairing effects.
Methylcobalamin, as the active form of vitaminB12, can effectively participate in the repair and regeneration of nerve cells. VitaminB12 is an essential nutrient for nervous system health, and its deficiency can lead to nerve damage. For ALS patients, Rozebalamin helps slow down the degenerative changes of motor neurons by promoting nerve cell repair and supporting normal metabolism of the nervous system. Therefore, it can effectively delay the decline of neurological function in ALS and improve patients' exercise ability and quality of daily life.

In addition, methylcobalamin also has a good therapeutic effect on neuropathy caused by vitaminB12 deficiency. Research shows that vitamin B12 deficiency may aggravate the development of neurodegenerative diseases, so supplementing with methylcobalamin can improve nerve damage and slow down the progression of symptoms caused by ALS. For patients with ALS, methylcobalamin can supplement B12 deficiency and improve nerve conduction function. Especially for those patients with symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency, the use of methylcobalamin will be more important.
AlthoughRozebalaminhas positive effects inALS patients, it does not cure ALS. Currently, ALS treatment mainly focuses on relieving symptoms, delaying disease progression and improving quality of life. RozebalaminAs an auxiliary therapeutic drug, it can help slow down the progression of nerve damage. However, the fundamental treatment of the disease still needs to rely on the comprehensive application of other drugs and therapies. Therefore, when patients use methylcobalamin, they usually need to cooperate with other drugs to implement comprehensive treatment.
