Is it okay to take 4 tablets of Lapatinib at one time?

Lapatinib is available by prescription only and is available in tablet form (250 mg/0.25g) with a recommended dose of 4 tablets per day when used in combination with trastuzumab, 5 tablets per day when used in combination with capecitabine, and 6 tablets per day when used in combination with an aromatase inhibitor. All tablets must be taken together at the same time every day, at least 1 hour before or 1 hour after meals. Doctors may decide to interrupt or stop treatment for people who experience certain side effects, especially those affecting the heart, lungs, or liver. If patients start taking lapatinib again, they may need to use a lower dose.
