Besponsa Side Effects Hepatotoxicity

Oxantuzumab/ Side effects of intuzumab (Besponsa) include hepatotoxicity. This hepatotoxicity may manifest as hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD), also known as sinusoidal obstruction syndrome. This is a serious, potentially life-threatening or even fatal disease. Liver function should be monitored closely during treatment with oxinuximab/oxinuximab to allow timely detection and management of possible hepatotoxicity. If liver function indicators increase, the drug may need to be suspended, dose reduced, or permanently discontinued. Particularly in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) after receiving ogaituzumab, the risk of developing VOD is greater and therefore requires special vigilance.
