Dabigatran etexilate capsules (Pradaxa) and rivaroxaban are both anticoagulant drugs used to prevent and treat thrombosis, but their mechanisms of action and clinical applications are slightly different. Dabigatran etexilate capsule is a direct thrombin inhibitor mainly used to prevent stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Its advantage is that it can be administered orally and takes effect quickly, but it requires strict compliance with the doctor's recommendations and medication regimen, and regular coagulation function testing. Rivaroxaban is a new type of anticoagulant drug that mainly acts on coagulation factor Xa and can effectively inhibit thrombosis. The advantage is that oral administration is convenient and does not require routine monitoring of coagulation function. In addition, rivaroxaban has been shown in clinical trials to reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
