At what level of osteoporosis should you take Denosumab?
Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterized by thinning and loss of density of bone tissue, making it prone to fractures. Denosumab (Denosumab) is a drug that targets osteoclast activity and is mainly used to treat osteoporosis and other bone diseases. Generally, doctors consider denosumab for treatment in patients with osteoporosis when their bone mineral density (BMD) is less than -2.5 SD. At the same time, patients also need to be at risk of fracture, such as a history of fractures in the hip, spine, wrist, etc. or a family history of osteoporotic fractures. Desosumab is not suitable for all patients with osteoporosis because of some adverse reactions and precautions.
