Are the side effects of Satclizumab serious?

The prescribing information for Satralizumab (Satralizumab) includes a warning of an increased risk of infection, including serious and potentially fatal infections - such as hepatitis B and potential reactivation of tuberculosis. Other warnings and precautions with satelizumab include elevated liver enzymes, decreased neutrophil count, and hypersensitivity reactions. The most common side effects observed were the common cold (nasopharyngitis), headache, upper respiratory tract infection, inflammation of the gastric mucosa, rash, joint pain, pain in the extremities, fatigue, and nausea. Administration of live attenuated or live vaccines is not recommended during treatment and should be administered at least four weeks before starting satlizumab.
