Correct usage of adapalene gel (Adapalene)

Patients can gently clean the affected area with a mild (non-irritating) cleanser and then pat dry. Apply Adapalene gel (Adapalene) in a thin layer to affected areas of skin only once daily. For example, if the patient has acne on their face, clean, dry and apply the product to their entire face. Adapalene gel is not a spot treatment and should not be used to treat individual pimples. Avoid contact of adapalene gel with eyes, lips, and mouth. If contact occurs, flush area with water immediately. Do not apply adapalene gel to damaged skin (cuts, scrapes, eczema, or sunburn). Wash your hands after using medications.
