What does Vigabatrin mainly treat?

Vigabatrin (Vigabatrin) is an anti-epileptic or anticonvulsant drug used to treat epilepsy and infantile spasms. Vigabatrin is a prescription medicine used with other therapies to treat adults and children 2 years of age and older who have complex partial seizures (CPS) when the complex partial seizures have not responded well to several other treatments and the possible benefits of taking this medicine are considered to outweigh the risk of blindness. However, this drug should not be used as the first choice for treating complex partial seizures. Vigabatrin is also indicated for children with infantile spasms (IS) between 1 month and 2 years of age, where the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks of vision loss.
