Vemurafenib (Vemurafenib) is a targeted therapy drug used to treat malignant melanoma with BRAF V600 mutations. It blocks the growth and spread of cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of this mutated BRAF protein kinase. Fever is usually a reaction of the immune system, which may be the body's response to a side effect of a medication. According to data from clinical trials, approximately one-third of patients experience varying degrees of fever while taking vemurafenib, which is often due to the biological effects and mechanisms of the drug. If you are taking vemurafenib and develop a fever, it is recommended that you notify your doctor promptly. Your doctor can assess your symptoms and provide appropriate advice, possibly adjusting your treatment plan or providing some ways to control your fever to ensure you continue to receive effective treatment.
