Is there a generic version of Vismodegib?

There are currently no generic drugs of Vismodegib (Vismodegib) available on the market. Vimodegib is an orally active small molecule that inhibits the hedgehog signaling pathway by binding to and inhibiting the transmembrane protein smoothened homolog (SMO) . It was discovered through high-throughput screening of small molecule compound libraries and subsequent optimization through medicinal chemistry. Because it targets the hedgehog signaling pathway,vismodegib has anti-tumor activity in basal cell carcinoma. Common side effects of vismodegib in clinical trials included gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation), muscle cramps, fatigue, hair loss, and dysgeusia (distorted taste).
