Niraparib (Niraparib) has been shown to treat high-grade serous or endometrioid epithelial ovarian cancer and is also approved for fallopian tube cancer and primary peritoneal cancer. In the event of recurrence, your condition may need to be re-evaluated and a new treatment plan developed on a case-by-case basis. This may include different drugs or treatments such as targeted therapies, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, etc. In advanced stages, these cancers are often treated with platinum dual therapy and surgery. If patients relapse within 6 months of completing treatment, they are considered platinum-resistant and will then receive non-platinum chemotherapy. Patients who relapse after 6 months are considered platinum sensitive and are typically re-treated with a platinum doublet regimen.
