Obinutuzumab and trastuzumab are two commonly used monoclonal antibody drugs used to treat different types of cancer. The difference between them lies mainly in their structure and indications. Otuzumab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that works by binding to the CD20 antigen. It is mainly used for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and follicular lymphoma (FL), usually in combination with chemotherapy. Trastuzumab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that works by binding to HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2). It is mainly used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer and metastatic gastric cancer. It is usually used in combination with other anti-cancer drugs (such as chemotherapy drugs or hormone therapy).
