Will I experience rebound symptoms after taking Orlistat?

Orlistat (Orlistat) blocks some of the fats you eat, preventing them from being absorbed by your body. Orlistat is used to help with weight loss or to help reduce the risk of weight regain. But in the one-year clinical trial, 35.5% to 54.8% of subjects lost 5% or more of their body weight, although not necessarily all of that weight was fat. Between 16.4% and 24.8% lost at least 10% body fat. After patients discontinued orlistat, a significant number of subjects regained weight, possibly as much as 35% of the weight they had lost. Orlistat works primarily through its local action in the intestines, and this drug must be used together with a low-calorie diet and increased physical activity to avoid the risk of weight regain.
