Orlistat (Orlistat) can cause fat to be passed out in the stool, which may appear as oily stool. Orlistat is a fat absorption inhibitor that inhibits the absorption of fat in the digestive tract, preventing the ingested fat from being completely digested and absorbed in the body and eventually excreted from the body. Because the absorption of orlistat is minimal, there are few systemic effects, and a common side effect is gastrointestinal (GI), caused by an increase in the amount of fat in the GI tract. Since unabsorbed fats cannot provide energy, they are excreted in the feces. This can result in oily stools, fatty discharge, or oil stains, sometimes accompanied by oily leaks from the exhaust.
