Is Pirfenidone a hormone?

Pirfenidone (Pirfenidone) is not a hormone, nor does it belong to the category of hormonal drugs. It is a small molecule drug that belongs to the category of anti-fibrotic drugs. The mechanism of action of pirfenidone mainly includes anti-inflammation, antioxidant and inhibition of fibroblast proliferation.
