Sunitinib (Sunitinib) is a small molecule that inhibits multiple receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), some of which are associated with tumor growth, pathological angiogenesis, and cancer metastasis progression. The inhibitory activity of sunitinib was evaluated against multiple kinases and was identified as an inhibitor of platelet-derived growth factor receptor, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, stem cell factor receptor, Fms-like tyrosine kinase-3, colony-stimulating factor receptor type 1, and glial cell lineage-derived neurotrophic factor receptor (RET). Inhibition of the activity of these RTKs by sunitinib has been demonstrated in biochemical and cellular analyses, and inhibition of function has been confirmed in cell proliferation assays. In biochemical and cellular analyses, the major metabolites showed similar potency to sunitinib.
