What diseases does tepotinib treat?

Tepotinib (tepotinib) contains the active ingredient tepotinib and is a new oral cancer drug used to treat adult patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) when the cancer is advanced and their cells have specific genetic mutations (changes) that cause "mesenchymal-to-epithelial transformation factor gene exon 14" (metex14) to be skipped. This means that the cancer cells produce an abnormal form of a protein called MET because a part of the MET gene called exon 14 is not used. Tepotinib may be used when patients require further treatment after receiving immunotherapy or platinum-based chemotherapy, or both.
