How to take Valganciclovir to infants

Valganciclovir (Valganciclovir) is indicated for the prevention of cytomegalovirus disease in high-risk kidney transplant patients (4 months to 16 years old) and heart transplant patients (1 month to 16 years old)(CMV), valganciclovir’s uses and dosage must be determined by your doctor. Pediatric patients should have their ability to swallow tablets evaluated and dosage adjusted appropriately during prophylaxis. To prevent cytomegalovirus disease in transplant patients: Pediatric patients 4 months to 16 years of age receiving kidney transplants, dosing once daily starting on day 10 after transplantation through day 200 after transplantation; Pediatric patients 1 month to 16 years of age receiving heart transplantation, dosing once daily starting on day 10 after transplantation and going through day 100 after transplantation. The dosage is based on body size and creatinine clearance that must be determined by your doctor, but the dosage usually does not exceed 900 mg once daily.
