How to relieve photosensitivity reactions caused by clofazimine/sempra
Photosensitivity reactions caused by clofazimine (Clofazimine) are mainly manifested as skin redness, swelling, itching and even blisters, which are related to the drug's enhancement of the damaging effect of ultraviolet rays on the skin. Mitigation needs to be done from the two aspects of "sun protection" and "skin care": Wear UPF50+ sun protection clothing, a wide-brimmed hat when going out, use physical sunscreen (containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide), and avoid going out during the peak period of ultraviolet rays from 10 am to 3 pm; curtains should also be drawn indoors when near a window. For skin care, cleanse daily with warm water, avoid using alkaline soaps or scrubs, and apply alcohol-free moisturizer after cleansing to keep it moisturized. If a photosensitivity reaction has occurred, treatment must be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
