How to tell whether Emtricitabine/ Tenofovir Alafenamide Fumarate Tablets will damage the kidneys?

Tenofovir alafenamide is less toxic to the kidneys than traditional tenofovir, but it still needs to be monitored:1) Serum creatinine and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR): every 3-6 months times; 2) Urinary protein: If the urinary protein/creatinine ratio is elevated, further examination is required; 3) Blood phosphorus level: hypophosphatemia may indicate renal tubular damage. IfeGFR<30 mL/min/1.73m², the drug needs to be stopped and other regimens need to be switched.
