Cycloserine is generally classified as a Class B drug in the medical insurance classification. This means that cycloserine may require the patient to bear a portion of the cost when used compared to Class A drugs, which are typically fully reimbursed. As an important anti-tuberculosis drug, cycloserine is mainly used to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis. Its efficacy is accurate, especially when used in combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs, it can significantly improve the therapeutic effect. However, due to some side effects it may cause, such as nervous system toxicity, and the precautions that require special attention when using it, it is classified as a Class B drug and needs to be used rationally under the guidance of a doctor.
