Delamanid/Delamanid and bedaquiline are both drugs used to treat multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), but they have some differences. First, they differ in chemical composition and mechanism of action. Bedaquiline is a new mycobacterial ATP synthase inhibitor that exerts anti-tuberculosis effects by preventing bacteria from using ATP to produce energy. Delamanid is a nitrodihydroimidazooxazole derivative that interferes with Mycobacterium tuberculosis cell wall metabolism by inhibiting mycolic acid synthesis. Secondly, the dosage and regimen of the two are also different and need to be determined according to the patient's specific situation and the guidance of the doctor.
