Does cenobamate have any side effects?
Phenobarate (cenobamate) has a very good inhibitory effect on epilepsy, but it also has side effects. Shortening of the QT interval on the electrocardiogram, suicidal behavior tendencies, eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS)/multiple organ hypersensitivity reactions, nervous system adverse reactions (insomnia, sedation, somnolence, fatigue, asthenia), etc. are relatively common side effects of phenobarate. At the same time, serious side effects may occur if the drug exceeds the recommended dose. It is recommended to pay attention to the patient's physical reaction during medication. If there is any intolerance, contact the doctor in time for symptomatic treatment.
