Basic characteristics of the drug
1. Loteprednol Suspension Eye Drops is a sterile topical anti-inflammatory corticosteroid ophthalmic preparation.
2. The main active ingredient is loteprednol etabonate, with a concentration of 0.5%, and contains inactive ingredients such as disodium edetate, glycerin, povidone, purified water and tyloxapol.
Main indications
1. Suitable for corticosteroid-sensitive anterior segment tissue inflammation in adults, including palpebral conjunctiva, bulbar conjunctiva and cornea, such asSuperficial punctate keratitis and herpetic keratitis.
2. Allergic conjunctivitis and rosacea.
3. Iritis and cyclitis.
4. Selective infectious conjunctivitis.
5. Giant papillary conjunctivitis and seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.

Principle of action
1. Corticosteroids inhibit the inflammatory response through various mechanisms and induce the production of phospholipase A2 inhibitory protein (lipocortin).
2. Inhibit edema, fibrin deposition, telangiectasia, leukocyte migration, capillary proliferation, fibroblast proliferation, collagen deposition and scar formation.
Usage and dosage of loteprednol suspension eye drops
Preparation before use
Shake the suspension thoroughly before use.
1. After removing the bottle cap, avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface.
2. Check whether the bottle mouth protective sealing tape is complete.
3. Clean your hands and ensure a hygienic operating environment.
4. If you wear soft contact lenses, you should first remove the lenses and then apply the medicine.
5. Confirm that the drug is within the validity period and that the storage conditions meet the requirements.
Routine dosage for the treatment of hormone-sensitive diseasesConventional dosage
1. Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 4 times a day, with even intervals as much as possible.
2. In the first week of treatment, the dosage can be increased to 1 drop per hour if necessary. Treatment should not be stopped prematurely and the entire course of treatment must be completed.
3. If symptoms do not improve after 2 days of treatment, the diagnosis should be re-evaluated and used in strict accordance with the usage and dosage prescribed by the doctor.
Routine dosage for post-operative inflammation prevention
1. Start using it 24 hours after surgery, instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the operated eye 4 times a day, and continue to use it for 2 weeks.
