Qlosi滴眼液的副作用如何处理
Qlosi eye drops may improve near vision in presbyopia, but may also cause some side effects. Please consult your doctor for specific side effects.
Side effects of Qlosi eye drops
Adverse reactions that may be caused by use are mainly divided into common reactions and serious reactions that require vigilance.
1. Common adverse reactions
In clinical studies, the following adverse reactions are relatively common, most of which are mild and can be relieved by themselves:
(1) Pain at the infusion site: the incidence rate is about 5%-8%, which is the most reported reaction.
(2) Headache: the incidence rate is about 5%-8%.
(3) Blurred vision: the incidence rate is about 2%-5%. This is a temporary phenomenon caused by the ciliary muscle contraction (accommodative spasm) caused by the drug, which may be more obvious when looking from near to far.
2. Other side effects that need attention
(1) Dim vision at night or in dark environments: The drug will narrow the pupil, which may reduce the light entering the eye, thus making the vision feel darker when the light is insufficient.
(2) Eye irritation: such as stinging, burning or tearing.
(3) Systemic reactions (rare): Since the drug can be absorbed into the body in small amounts, patients who are sensitive to the drug may experience cholinergic effects such as sweating and increased gastrointestinal activity (such as nausea) after eye drops. Accidental oral administration may cause more obvious systemic reactions, such as sweating, salivation, nausea, slowed pulse, decreased blood pressure, etc.
3. Serious adverse reactions/risk warnings (immediate medical attention required)
Although rare, the use of Qlosi eye drops has the following serious risks, and a high degree of vigilance is required:
(1) Retinal detachment: Symptoms include sudden flashes of light, increased floaters, curtain-like obstruction in the field of vision, or sharp decline in vision. People with a history of retinopathy may be at increased risk.
(2) Posterior iris synechiae: For patients with iritis, the use of Qlosi eye drops may cause iris and lens adhesion.

How to deal with side effects of Qlosi eye drops
1. Treatment of common minor reactions
Pain at the injection site, mild headache, blurred vision: These reactions are usually temporary. It is recommended to take a break and avoid driving, operating machinery, or any activity that requires fine vision until your vision is clear again. It usually goes away on its own without special treatment. If symptoms persist or are bothersome, you should consult your doctor.
2. Impact and management on daily life
(1) To deal with blurred vision and dimness: Plan the medication time and avoid eye drops before driving at night or performing delicate operations. If you need to be active at night, take extra care to ensure adequate lighting.
(2) Contact lens wearers: Take off the lens before instilling the medicine, and wait at least 10 minutes before wearing it after instilling the medicine, which can reduce irritation and prevent the medicine from being absorbed by the lens.
3. Medical guidance for severe reactions
Once any of the following symptoms occur, you should immediately stop taking the medication and seek emergency medical help:
Sudden vision changes, such as vision loss and visual field loss.
Flashes of light and a large number of new floating objects (floaters) appear in front of the eyes.
Severe pain, redness and swelling in the eyes.
It may be a sign of retinal detachment or other serious eye problems and requires immediate professional diagnosis and treatment.
4. Treatment of overdose or misuse
(1). Excessive local eye drops: rinse eyes with water.
(2). Accidental oral administration: seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms may include profuse sweating, salivation, nausea, tremors, and more. Atropine is a pharmacological antagonist of pilocarpine and can be used to treat severe poisoning.
Qlosi Eye Drops Eye Drops Medication for Special Populations
1. Pregnant women
(1) Risk summary: There is currently a lack of sufficient and well-controlled research on the use of Qlosi eye drops in pregnant women.
(2) Animal data: Animal experiments show that maternal toxicity and embryonic developmental toxicity may be observed at oral exposures that far exceed recommended human doses.
(3) Medication recommendations: Use only when necessary and after a doctor weighs the pros and cons.
2. Breastfeeding women
(1) Risk summary: It is unclear whether pilocarpine will enter human milk and what impact it will have on breastfed infants.
(2) Animal data: Pilocarpine and its metabolites are known to be excreted in the milk of lactating rats.
(3) Medication recommendations: The developmental and health benefits of breastfeeding, as well as the mother’s clinical needs for Qlosi eye drops, should be considered, and any potential side effects of the drug on the baby should be evaluated, and a careful decision should be made whether to stop breastfeeding or discontinue medication.
3. Children
Presbyopia is an age-related disease that does not occur in children. Therefore, Qlosi eye drops are not suitable for children.
4. Elderly people (65 years and above)
(1) Research data: The clinical study of Qlosi eye drops did not include a sufficient number of subjects aged 65 and above, and it is impossible to determine whether their reactions are different from those of younger subjects.
(2) Medication recommendations: Other clinical experiences with pilocarpine eye drops have not found any overall safety differences between elderly patients and young patients. However, the safety and effectiveness of use in this age group have not been established, so use with caution.
