狄诺塞麦治疗期间要注意什么事项？

It is the first approved monoclonal antibody specifically targeting RANK ligand, with the trade name Xgeva, also known as denosumab. It was approved for marketing in my country in May 2019 and is used to treat giant cell tumors of bone that are unresectable or that may cause severe functional impairment after surgical resection, including adults and adolescent patients with mature bone development (defined as at least 1 mature long bone and a weight of ≥45 kg).  

Denosumab (desosumab) is an injection that must be administered by professionals. In order to avoid unnecessary accidents during medication, it is also necessary to understand the precautions for denosumab.

Precautions for Denosumab:

1. Hypocalcemia must be corrected before starting treatment with denosumab. For patients who are prone to hypocalcemia and mineral metabolism imbalance (such as those with a history of hypoparathyroidism, malnutrition, small bowel resection, parathyroid surgery, thyroid surgery, severe renal insufficiency), clinical monitoring of creatinine and mineral levels is required, and such patients should be instructed to pay attention to the symptoms of hypocalcemia and to supplement adequate amounts of calcium and vitamin D. 

2. Routine oral examination should be performed before starting denosumab treatment, and good oral hygiene should be maintained after the start of treatment. Osteonecrosis of the jaw often occurs with tooth extraction and local infection that delays healing. If a patient develops osteonecrosis of the jaw, treatment for osteonecrosis of the jaw may worsen the condition, and discontinuation of the medication should be considered at this time. 

3. Patients with compromised immune systems or those taking immunosuppressants may have an increased risk of serious infections. Physicians must fully consider the benefit-risk ratio before prescribing denosumab to such patients. 

(Denosumab) is a new drug launched in China, which has brought a new treatment option to patients with bone metastasis in my country. In order to effectively exert the effect of the drug, patients should keep in mind the precautions and strictly follow the doctor's instructions during medication.
