Boehringer Ingelheim Respimat helps adult patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) breathe easier. COPD is a long-term lung disease that causes shortness of breath and coughing. Respimat helps open the airways, making it easier for air to move in and out of the lungs. Normal use can also relieve persistent shortness of breath caused by the disease and help minimize the impact of the disease on daily life.

Boehringer Ingelheim announced the results of the OTIVACTO study at the 2018 European Respiratory Society Annual Meeting in Paris, France. The study was an observational European real-world study covering 7,443 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) treated with SHIVA® (tiotropium bromide/olodaterol) and Respimat®. Patients participating in the study experienced improvements in physical function and overall health and expressed high levels of satisfaction with the inhaler device and overall treatment. [1] Improvements were observed in patients with varying disease severity. More than two-thirds (67.8%) of patients achieved treatment success. Improvement of disease was observed in all GOLD patient groups, with the most successful treatment occurring in patients with significant symptoms: 79.7% of patients classified as group D achieved treatment success, while 70.9% of patients classified as group B achieved treatment success.

Let’s find out the maximum usage of Boehringer Ingelheim Respimat. The recommended dosage is: Respimat is effective 24 hours a day, so use it only once a day, and if possible, at the same time every day. Spray twice with each use. Because COPD is a long-term condition, use Respimat every day, not just when you have breathing problems. Do not exceed recommended dosage.
