非达霉素(Dificid)属于什么药

Fidaxomicin, also known as Dificid and fidaxomicin, is a macrolide antibacterial drug. It was first approved for marketing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2011. As of September 2025, it has not yet been launched in China.

What kind of drug does fidaxomicin (Dificid) belong to

Macrolide antibiotics

Fidaxomicin belongs to the macrolide antibiotics and exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial RNA polymerase to block RNA synthesis.

Intestinal local-acting antibacterial drugs

Fidaxomicin mainly acts locally on the gastrointestinal tract, and its systemic absorption after oral administration is extremely low.

Applicable population and indications

1. Fidaxomicin is suitable for patients aged 6 months and above.

2. Fidaxomicin is used to treat Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD), an acute or recurrent intestinal infection caused by this bacteria.

3. The use of fidaxomicin needs to strictly follow the principles of antimicrobial drug management and should only be used when Clostridium difficile infection is confirmed or highly suspected.

Dosage Guidelines for Fidaxomicin (Dificid)

Adult Dosage and Usage

1. The recommended dose for adults is 200 mg each time.

2. Take it orally twice a day, and the course of treatment is 10 days.

3. The tablet should be swallowed whole and should not be chewed or crushed.

4. The drug can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. Food has no clinical significance on absorption.

What to do if you miss a dose

If you forget to take a dose, you should take it as soon as possible, but do not take a double dose at the same time.

Pediatric dosage and usage

1. Pediatric patients from 6 months to under 18 years old need to adjust the dosage according to their weight.

2. Children weighing 12.5 kg and able to swallow tablets can use 200 mg tablets twice a day.

3. Children who cannot swallow tablets should use oral suspension. The specific dosage is calculated according to body weight: 80 mg for 4-7 kg, 120 mg for 7-9 kg, 160 mg for 9-12.5 kg, and 200 mg for 12.5 kg and above, all twice a day.

Drug interactions

1. When used in combination with inhibitors of P-glycoprotein such as cyclosporine, the plasma drug concentration can be maintained at the level of nanograms per milliliter, which does not affect safety and therapeutic effect, so there is no need to adjust the dosage.

2. When used in combination with fidaxomicin, there is no need to adjust the dosage of digoxin, midazolam, warfarin, omeprazole and other drugs.
