什么样的人不适合吃达那唑?
Who is not suitable for taking danazol?
Danazol is indicated for the treatment of endometriosis with hormone therapy; for fibrocystic breast disease, danazol is generally effective in reducing nodules, pain, and tenderness. It should be emphasized to patients that this treatment is not harmless as it involves significant changes in hormone levels and recurrence of symptoms is very common after discontinuation of treatment. Also indicated for the prevention of angioedema attacks of all types (skin, abdomen, throat) in men and women. However, some patients cannot be treated with danazol.
The following patients should not take danazol:
1. Undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding.
2. Liver function, kidney function or cardiac function is significantly impaired.
3. Pregnancy.
4. Breastfeeding.
5. Androgen-dependent tumors.
6. Active thrombosis or thromboembolic disease and history of such events.
7. Allergy to danazol.
Things to note when treating danazol
It is recommended that a sensitive test capable of determining early pregnancy (beta subunit test, if available) be performed immediately before starting treatment. In addition, non-hormonal contraceptive methods should be used during treatment. If a patient becomes pregnant while taking danazol, the medication should be discontinued and the patient should be informed of the potential risk to the fetus. In utero exposure to danazol may produce androgenic effects on the female fetus; reports of clitoromegaly, labial fusion, urogenital sinus defects, vaginal atresia, and ambiguous genitalia have been received.
Breast cancer should be ruled out before starting danazol for treatment of fibrocystic breast disease. However, the nodules, pain, and tenderness caused by fibrocystic breast disease may prevent identification of the underlying cancer before treatment begins.
Therefore, if any nodules persist or enlarge during treatment, carcinoma should be considered and ruled out.
Because danazol may cause some degree of fluid retention, careful observation is needed for conditions that may be affected by this factor, such as epilepsy, migraine, cardiac or renal insufficiency, polycythemia, and hypertension. Diabetic patients should use with caution.
The above is the relevant content about the contraindications of danazol. For more details, you can read the drug instructions. It is recommended that patients follow the doctor's instructions and treat the medication symptomatically.
