150 patients with gout and hyperuricemia were divided into group A1, group A2 and group B, 50 cases each; group A1 took 40 mg/d febuxostat tablets, group A2 took 80 mg/d febuxostat tablets, and group B took 300 mg/d allopurinol tablets, the treatment time was 24 weeks. Results Compared with before treatment, after 10 and 24 weeks of treatment, the blood uric acid levels of the three groups of patients were significantly reduced (P0.05). Compared with the patients in group B, the blood uric acid levels of the patients in group A1 and group A2 were significantly reduced (P0.05); compared with the patients in group A1, the blood uric acid levels of the patients in group A2 were not significantly reduced (P0.05). There was no significant difference in adverse reactions among the 3 groups of patients (P0.05).

Conclusion: Febuxostat can effectively reduce blood uric acid levels in patients with gout, and the 80 mg/d dose group has the best effect on reducing blood uric acid levels.

It can make the level of uric acid reach the target and avoid gout-inducing factors such as trauma, drinking, diuretics, etc., which can make gout patients stable for a long time.
