How to deal with the common side effects of Jisandai/Bingtonsha
Epclusa is an oral pan-genotypic antiviral drug used to treat all genotypes of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It is a compound of Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir. This combination therapy is recommended by multiple global guidelines as one of the preferred treatment options for hepatitis C due to its broad spectrum, high efficacy and relatively few side effects. However, although Gisanda is generally well tolerated, some patients may still experience some common side effects during treatment, such as fatigue, headache, nausea, insomnia and mild diarrhea.
Fatigue is one of the most commonly reported adverse reactions when using Epclusa, which may be related to the mild inflammatory response produced by the body's metabolism of viruses and drugs. Patients are advised to ensure adequate sleep, avoid strenuous exercise, and arrange a reasonable schedule to reduce the effects of fatigue. Moderate intake of foods rich in B vitamins (such as whole grains, nuts) may also be helpful in relieving chronic fatigue.

Headaches usually occur in the early stages of treatment and are related to the drug's brief stimulation of the central nervous system or mild dehydration. Increasing your daily fluid intake, getting good rest, and avoiding excessive caffeine intake can effectively reduce the frequency of headaches. If symptoms persist, you can ask your doctor if you can use over-the-counter analgesics such as acetaminophen, but long-term dependence is not recommended.
Nausea and diarrhea are often related to mild gastrointestinal tract irritation or liver detoxification reactions. It is recommended to take the medication after meals to reduce stomach upset and avoid spicy, greasy foods. If the diarrhea is obvious, you can use probiotic supplements for a short period of time or choose an oral electrolyte rehydration program under the guidance of a physician.
Some patients also report problems with insomnia, which is often related to adjustments in the body's metabolic rhythm. Maintain regular sleep, avoid using electronic products before going to bed, and use auxiliary substances appropriately to help you fall asleep.
