Detailed instructions for using Cefidero Sulfate Injection (FETROJA)
Cefideril sulfate injection , as a highly effective cephalosporin drug, is widely used to treat complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI), hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia and ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (HABP/VABP) caused by sensitive Gram-negative microorganisms. In order to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the drug, its dosage and usage need to be accurately adjusted according to the patient's specific condition.
For adult patients with a creatinine clearance (CLcr) in the range of 60 to 119 mL/min, the recommended dose of cefideril sulfate injection is 2 g as an intravenous infusion every 8 hours for 3 hours. However, for patients with a CLcr less than 60 mL/min, including patients receiving intermittent hemodialysis (HD) or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and patients with a CLcr greater than or equal to 120 mL/min, the dose of cefideril sulfate injection needs to be adjusted accordingly.
For patients with a CLcr between 30 and 59 mL/min, the dose is adjusted to 1.5 g every 8 hours; for patients with a CLcr between 15 and 29 mL/min, the dose is further reduced to 1 g every 8 hours; and for patients with a CLcr less than 15 mL/min, the dose should be 0.75 g every 12 hours, regardless of whether they receive intermittent hemodialysis.

For patients receivingCRRT, the dose of cefideril sulfate injection should be determined based on the outflow flow rate of CRRT. Specifically, when the outflow flow rate is 2 liters/hour or less, the dose is 1.5 grams every 12 hours; when the outflow flow rate is between 2.1 and 3 liters/hour, the dose is 2 grams every 12 hours; when the outflow flow rate is between 3.1 and 4 liters/hour, the dose is adjusted to 1.5 grams every 8 hours; and when the outflow flow rate reaches 4.1 liters/hour or above, the dose should be 2 grams every 8 hours.
It is worth noting that for patients whose CLcr is greater than or equal to 120 mL/min, the recommended dose of cefideril sulfate injection is 2 grams of intravenous infusion every 6 hours for 3 hours.
In short, the dosage and usage of cefideril sulfate injection needs to be accurately adjusted according to the patient's creatinine clearance rate to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the drug. When using this drug, medical staff should pay close attention to the patient's renal function indicators and clinical status in order to adjust the dosage regimen in a timely manner. At the same time, patients should also follow the doctor's instructions, take the medicine on time and in the right amount, and pay attention to their own reactions. If they have any symptoms of discomfort, they should seek medical treatment immediately.
