Torsemide Tablets (Soaanz) Instruction Manual
Torsemide tablets (Soaanz) is a highly effective loop diuretic widely used to treat edema caused by heart failure or kidney disease. Its main function is to reduce the accumulation of water in the body by promoting drainage from the kidneys, thus relieving the symptoms associated with these diseases. Correct use of this drug can significantly improve patients' quality of life, but dosage guidelines must be strictly followed when using it to ensure the safety and efficacy of the drug.
1. Initial Dosage and Adjustment
For adult patients, the recommended initial dose of torsemide tablets (Soaanz) is 20 mg once daily. The dosage should be adjusted under the guidance of a physician. Typically, after initiation of treatment with the drug, the dose may be titrated based on the patient's clinical response. The goal of increasing dosage is to achieve the desired diuretic effect. However, there is currently insufficient research data to support safety and efficacy at doses above 200 mg. Therefore, when using this drug clinically, the dosage should be strictly controlled within this range to avoid adverse reactions caused by excessive dosage.

2. Taboos for special groups of people
Torsemide tablets are not suitable for all patients, especially in some specific pathological conditions, and their use should be avoided.
1. Contraindicated in patients with anuria: If the patient has severe urinary excretion disorder or anuria, torsemide tablets should be contraindicated. Because the drug's mechanism of action is to achieve a diuretic effect by promoting urinary excretion, patients with anuria cannot obtain the expected benefits of the drug and may increase the risk of side effects caused by the drug.
2. Contraindicated in patients with hepatic coma: Since the metabolism of torsemide tablets needs to pass through the liver, patients with severely impaired liver function, especially those in hepatic coma, should avoid using this drug. The liver function of such patients is no longer able to effectively metabolize drugs, which may lead to accumulation of drugs in the body and trigger toxic reactions.
3. Contraindicated for patients with a history of allergies: Torsemide tablets are absolutely prohibited for use in patients with known allergies to torsemide or its components. Anaphylaxis may cause severe skin reactions, shortness of breath, or other systemic adverse effects, and may even be life-threatening.
In short, torsemide tablets are an effective diuretic drug, but the dosage regulations need to be strictly followed during use. Through reasonable dosage adjustment and necessary monitoring, patients can fully exert the efficacy of the drug while ensuring safety.
