How to deal with LONSURF side effects (1)
Your healthcare provider may have ways to help manage some of the side effects of LONSURF tablets. This may include adjusting the treatment plan by delaying or changing dosage.
The following information may also help you manage some of the side effects of LONSURF under the care of a health care provider.

Fatigue (tiredness/weakness)
Do the most important things first every day. Don't overexert yourself.
Take some time to rest
Take a nap of less than an hour. The nap time should not be too long, which will help you sleep at night.
Try to be active every day. Talk to your healthcare provider about helpful exercises like walking for 15 minutes, doing yoga, or riding an exercise bike
Establish a bedtime routine. Taking a bath, reading a book, listening to music, or meditating before bed can help relax
Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night
Ask family and friends for help with household chores, driving to appointments, shopping, and cooking
Talk to your health care provider. He or she may prescribe medications to help reduce fatigue.
Nausea and Vomiting
A good way to prevent vomiting is to prevent nausea in the first place. Avoid certain foods. Don't eat greasy, fried, sweet or spicy foods.
Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 3 large meals (this will not change your dosing schedule)
Eat hot or cold foods and drinks instead of hot or cold.
Try a sip of a popsicle or fruit ice. You can see if sucking on ice cubes helps (if cold temperatures bother you, stop sucking)
Talk to your healthcare provider, who may be able to prescribe medicine to help. You can also ask your healthcare provider about acupuncture.
Loss of appetite
People with stomach cancer should talk to their healthcare provider about special dietary needs that may be affected by their condition

If you don't want to eat solid food, drink a shake, smoothie, juice, or soup
Choose foods that are high in calories and/or protein
Being active may make you feel hungrier. Talk to your healthcare provider about helpful exercise, such as walking for 15 minutes, stretching, swimming, or biking
Talk to your healthcare provider, who may recommend taking additional vitamins or supplements
