How to take and store WELIREG
Welireg is a hypoxia-inducible factor inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHL syndrome, VHL disease) who do not require immediate surgery and require treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma, and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNET) related to VHL syndrome.
How should I take Welireg?
- Take WELIREG exactly as your healthcare provider tells you.
- Do not stop taking WELIREG or change your dose without talking with your healthcare provider.
- Take the prescribed dose of WELIREG once a day at the same time every day.
- If you have certain side effects, your healthcare provider may change your dose, temporarily stop, or permanently stop treatment with WELIREG.
- Take with or without food.
- Swallow the tablet whole. Do not chew, crush, or break tablets.
- If you miss a dose of WELIREG, take it as soon as possible on the same day. Then take the next dose of WELIREG at your regular time the next day. Do not take extra tablets to make up for a missed dose.
- If you vomit after taking one dose of WELIREG, do not take additional doses. Take your next dose at your normal time the next day.
- If you take too much WELIREG, call your health care provider or go to the nearest emergency room right away.
How should I store WELIREG?
- Storage at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), short-distance transportation permitted at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).
- WELIREG bottles contain 2 desiccant canisters to help keep medications dry. Don't eat the desiccant can.
