How long does it take for dupilumab/dalbitux to take effect?
Dupilumab (dupilumab) is a targeted immunosuppressive drug, mainly used to treat a variety of allergic diseases, such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), allergic rhinitis, asthma, etc. As an IL-4 receptor alpha subunit antagonist, dupilumab blocks the two cytokines IL-4 and IL-13, thereby reducing the overreaction of the immune system and inhibiting the immune response that causes inflammation.

For most patients, the effects of dupilumab usually develop gradually over the weeks after treatment. For patients with atopic dermatitis, clinical studies have shown that symptoms such as itching, skin inflammation, and redness will be relieved 2 to 4 weeks after starting treatment. Many patients experience noticeable improvements within weeks of treatment, especially in areas of inflammation and skin health.
In the treatment of allergic asthma, the effects of dupilumab usually develop gradually between4 to 8 weeks. A patient's lung function may improve within the first few weeks, and symptoms such as wheezing, coughing and shortness of breath may gradually decrease. For those asthma patients who have long-term dependence on steroid drugs, dupilumab can reduce dependence on steroids and provide more stable symptom control.
Although most patients will feel the effects within a few weeks, response times vary from patient to patient. Some patients may take longer to see the full effects of treatment. Patients may have varying responses during the early stages of treatment, and some may feel the effects are slower, but overall, dupilumab can provide sustained and significant symptom improvement within 6 to 12 weeks.
In general, dupilumab has a relatively quick effect, especially in the treatment of allergic diseases such as skin diseases and asthma, and can bring rapid relief and improvement to patients.
