Comprehensive comparison of the efficacy and safety of DaliRasheng (Keweike) and traditional sleeping pills
Daridorexant is a new type of dual orexin receptor antagonist (DORA drugs) that promotes natural sleep by inhibiting orexin (Orexin-A and Orexin-B) signaling in the brain’s arousal system. This mechanism is different from traditional sleeping pills (such as benzodiazepines or Z drugs), which directly inhibit the central nervous system mainly by enhancing GABA receptor activity. DaliRazen does not rely on sedation or muscle relaxation, but restores the normal sleep-wake rhythm, making the sleep structure closer to the physiological state. Therefore, it is considered to be a more physiological and safer sleep aid drug.
Based on clinical trial results, DaliRasen has shown good efficacy in improving difficulty falling asleep, reducing the number of nighttime awakenings, and prolonging total sleep time. Compared with traditional sleeping pills, its effect is more stable and sustained, and patients can still maintain improvement in sleep quality after long-term use. In addition, the onset of action of Dalirasin is relatively fast, usually within 30 minutes to 1 hour after taking the drug, and will not affect alertness and cognitive function the next day. Traditional sleeping pills are often accompanied by the phenomenon of "drug hangover", which may cause problems such as drowsiness in the morning and decreased concentration.

In terms of safety, DaliRasen has significant advantages. It is not likely to cause dependence, drug resistance or withdrawal insomnia, which is one of its most significant differences from traditional sleeping pills. If benzodiazepines are used for a long time, they often lead to side effects such as increased drug resistance, dependence formation, and cognitive decline; although Zolpidem and eszopiclone have mild side effects, they may still cause sleepwalking, transient memory impairment, and other problems. In clinical studies, Dalirasin has been well tolerated. Common side effects include only mild drowsiness and headache, and most of them are short-term and reversible.
Taken together, DaliRasen is more suitable for patients with long-term insomnia or sleep rhythm disorders, especially those who have poor response to traditional sleeping pills or are worried about dependence. In clinical practice, doctors usually adjust the dosage according to the patient's sleep type (difficulty falling asleep or maintaining sleep). The common dosage is 25 mg or 50 mg, taken before going to bed every night. Overall, DaliRasen represents the transformation direction of insomnia treatment from sedation and suppression to physiological sleep regulation. It is superior to traditional sleeping pills in terms of efficacy, safety and dependence control, indicating a new trend in the development of sleep aid drugs in the future.
