Is Ipilimumab yervoy?
The trade name of Ipilimumab is Yervoy. This is a monoclonal antibody, an anti-cancer drug, and a type of immune checkpoint inhibitor. It is a drug used to treat some malignant tumors, mainly malignant melanoma (a type of skin cancer) and advanced colorectal cancer. The mechanism of action of Ipilimumab is to enhance the immune system's attack on cancer cells by inhibiting the immune checkpoint molecule CTLA-4 (cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4). The administration method is intravenous injection.
