Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets Side Effects

In clinical studies of Donepezil, the most common adverse reactions were primarily predicted by donepezil’s cholinomimetic effects. These symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, vomiting, muscle cramps, fatigue and anorexia. These adverse reactions are usually transient and disappear during continued treatment with donepezil without the need for dose adjustment. Adverse events such as abdominal pain, agitation, aggression, cholecystitis, confusion, convulsions, hallucinations, heart block, hemolytic anemia, hepatitis, hyponatremia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, pancreatitis, rash, rhabdomyolysis, QTc prolongation and torsade de pointes have also occurred after donepezil was put on the market.
