Dabigatran etexilate capsules (Pradaxa) are available in different dosage forms, not all of which are approved for the same indications and age groups. Additionally, there are differences in dosage between dosage forms due to differences in bioavailability. Do not substitute dosage forms from milligram to milligram or combine more than one dosage form to achieve a total dose. The dosage and administration of dabigatran etexilate capsules should be determined based on the patient's specific condition and the doctor's recommendations. For patients at high risk of bleeding, the recommended dose is 220 mg orally daily, i.e. one 110 mg capsule twice daily. If the patient's kidney function is impaired, the dosage needs to be adjusted according to the doctor's recommendation.
