How long does it take to take Venetoclax to get relief?

Venetoclax is effective in both chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic leukemia (SLL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with trials reporting that significantly more patients achieved complete remissions using venetoclax in combination with other therapies compared with standard therapy. Venetoclax also works quickly, with many people taking an average of a month to feel a slowdown in disease progression. If the patient has untreated CLL or SLL, venetoclax is usually given in combination with obinutuzumab for 12 months; if the patient has been previously treated, venetoclax is usually given in combination with rituximab for up to 24 months; for patients with AML, treatment is continued until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity is observed, as long as the physician deems it safe.
