Trastuzumab shelf life

Trastuzumab (Trastuzumab) is supplied as a lyophilized sterile powder under vacuum in single-dose vials and typically stored in a refrigerator at 2-8°C (36-46°F) until reconstitution. Because trastuzumab does not contain preservatives and is intended for single-dose administration only, if not used immediately, the reconstituted trastuzumab solution needs to be stored at 2-8°C (36-46°F) for 24 hours. Discard any unused trastuzumab after 24 hours and do not freeze. Dilute trastuzumab solution for injection (containing 0.9% sodium chloride injection) should be stored at 2-8°C (36-46°F) for no more than 24 hours before use and discarded after 24 hours. This storage time is beyond the allowed storage time of the reconstituted sample bottle. Do not freeze.
