Voriconazole (Voriconazole) and itraconazole have different indications, and the efficacy of the two drugs is generally not compared. Voriconazole is commonly used to treat invasive aspergillosis, infections with candidemia and a normal white blood cell count, infections with severely invasive Candida fungi that are resistant to fluconazole, severe fungal infections with Rhizoctonia or Fusarium (two different types of fungi), and prevention in patients undergoing hematopoietic (blood) stem cell transplantation who have worsening infections that may be life-threatening. Itraconazole is suitable for vulvovaginal candidiasis, tinea versicolor, dermatomycosis, fungal keratitis, oral candidiasis albicans, onychomycosis, systemic fungal infections and other diseases.
