Crinecerfont (Crinecerfont) is an innovative drug under development that belongs to the corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) receptor Antagonist that acts by inhibiting overactivity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA axis). Currently, it is focused on clinical trials for congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), particularly the type caused by 21-hydroxylase deficiency. CAHIt is a hereditary disease. Insufficient cortisol synthesis and excessive androgen in patients lead to precocious puberty in children, reproductive disorders in adults and other problems. Cresflutide helps balance hormone levels by reducing the secretion of ACTH, thereby relieving symptoms. Compared with traditional glucocorticoid replacement therapy, it may reduce the side effects of long-term hormone use (eg, obesity, osteoporosis). The drug has not yet been approved globally, but has high hopes as a targeted treatment option for CAH.
