Introduction: Sotoraxib is a kinase inhibitor designed to bind to the KRAS protein on the surface of lung cancer cells. When this happens, sotoraxib blocks signals that instruct cancer cells to grow and divide. Sotoraxib is effective against a mutation in KRAS (called KRAS G12C) that may be resistant to other drugs. Before starting sotoraxib, an FDA-approved test is available to determine if the KRAS G12C mutation is present.

Adverse reactions of sotoracib

The most common adverse reactions include diarrhea, musculoskeletal pain, nausea, vomiting, rash, fatigue, hepatotoxicity, allergic reactions, skin infection, cough, and fever. In addition, there are some abnormal laboratory test results, including lymphopenia, decreased hemoglobin, increased aspartate aminotransferase, increased alanine aminotransferase, decreased calcium, increased alkaline phosphatase, increased urinary protein, and decreased sodium.

Measures to deal with adverse reactions of sotorasiib

1. Digestive system problems: Symptoms can be relieved by adjusting dietary habits and using antiemetics or antidiarrheals. The use of drugs needs to be under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Fatigue: Patients should ensure adequate rest, avoid staying up late, avoid being tired, and discuss with their doctor whether they need to adjust the treatment plan or use relevant drugs to improve fatigue.

3. Skin problems: Patients should use mild skin care products, avoid contact with irritating substances, keep the skin clean and hygienic, and avoid irritating the rash area.

4. Impaired liver function: Patients need to regularly monitor liver function while taking the drug. If abnormal liver function occurs, the doctor may adjust the drug dosage or recommend the use of liver protection drugs.

5. Dose adjustment: If a patient experiences adverse reactions when using sotoraxib, the doctor may recommend reducing the dose. Generally, the dose is reduced to 480mg for the first time and to 240mg for the second time. If the drug is still not tolerated, the drug may need to be discontinued.

Recommended usage and dosage of sotoracib

states that the recommended dosage of the drug is 960 mg per day, and patients can take three 320 mg tablets or eight 120 mg tablets. Sotoracib is taken by mouth once daily with or without food.

Sotorasibu tablets should be swallowed whole and should not be chewed, crushed or broken before taking. If a dose is delayed by more than 6 hours, skip that dose and take the next dose as prescribed for the next day. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.
